Details of the Arrest

According to an official police statement, Prophet Walter Magaya was arrested on Saturday morning in connection with multiple serious allegations. A crack team from the ZRP apprehended the prominent church leader for what was cited as “several reports of rape and fraud.”

While the police promised to release more details, no further information on the specific cases was available as of late yesterday, leaving the public and media anticipating today's court appearance for more clarity.

Congregation Rallies in Support

Despite their leader's arrest, PHD Ministries members gathered for their regular Sunday service, which took on a celebratory and defiant tone. Some congregants viewed the incident as a fulfillment of scripture and a testament to the strength of Magaya's ministry. Plans for the upcoming "Night of Turnaround" event, scheduled for this Saturday, are reportedly continuing unabated.

One of his overseers, Timothy Marasha, delivered a sermon aimed at inspiring hope. Drawing parallels to the biblical narrative of Jesus' temptation in the wilderness (Luke 4:1), Overseer Timmy framed the prophet's experience as a spiritual trial, encouraging the congregation to remain steadfast.

A Brief Word from Custody

When H-Metro visited Prophet Magaya at the police holding cells, he appeared reluctant to speak. He offered only a brief, terse statement: “This is where I am; that is all I can say.”

Access to the prophet was tightly controlled. According to reports, only his wife, mother, and lawyer were permitted to visit him while he was being held, highlighting the serious nature of his custody.
