Staying True: Nisha Ts on Authenticity and Power at Nubian Notes Concert
Fresh off the success of her album "Gender IIH (Woman King)," Afro-soul musician Anisha Tashinga Shonhiwa, popularly known as Nisha Ts, is set to own the stage at the all-female Nubian Notes Concert, promising a performance inspired by the power of staying true to oneself.

A Celebration of Sound & Sisterhood
The Nubian Notes Concert, scheduled for November 8 at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), is an all-female musical showcase celebrating women's strength, creativity, and individuality in the music industry. Hosted by Gateway Stream Media in partnership with ZAR Events, the event will feature a stellar lineup of Zimbabwe's top female acts.
Nisha Ts will share the stage with icons like Feli Nandi, Tamy Moyo, Gemma Griffiths, and Shashl. For her, being part of this lineup is both an honour and an inspiration. “Being part of an all-female show like Nubian Notes is a celebration of women’s strength and creativity,” she said. “It’s a reminder of the power we hold as women when we come together.”

Known for her powerful voice and authentic storytelling, Nisha Ts promises an unforgettable performance that blends emotion with purpose. “My performance is inspired by staying true to yourself, no matter what the world expects of me,” she shared. “I want the audience to feel empowered, seen, and reminded that their voice matters.”
Since her musical journey began in 2022, she has released hits like ‘Kutsamwa Kune Labour’ and ‘Gender iiii Fimero’. She promises fans a performance reflecting this journey. “Fans should expect energy, emotion, and authenticity. I have prepared something special... It is going to be a memorable experience that celebrates music, womanhood, and unity.”
Hinting at a surprise, she teased, “Let’s just say there is a special moment that fans should look out for... I am really excited to share something unexpected that will bring everyone together in a beautiful way.”

Nisha Ts believes women in the arts are no longer waiting for permission; they are taking charge and shaping the industry on their own terms. “We are no longer waiting for permission to take up space,” she said confidently. “We are telling our own stories, building our own platforms, and breaking barriers across all genres. The change is powerful and for us it is only the beginning.”
