Mwaruwari, who cut his teeth as a junior player at Bosso before finding global fame, received his travel itinerary yesterday and is scheduled to land in Zimbabwe tomorrow, Friday, January 23, 2026.
Sealed and Delivered
Sources close to the deal confirmed that the administrative hurdles have been cleared. Benjani's appointment letter was delivered to his base in England yesterday (January 21).
"Benji’s appointment letter arrived in England today, and so did his air ticket for him to travel to Zimbabwe," a reliable source revealed. "It’s now all set for him and the club to start working together in his new role as the head coach."
The New Bench
As speculation mounts regarding the full composition of the technical team, a prominent South African tactician has emerged as the frontrunner for the assistant role.

When contacted last night, Benjani refused to be drawn into discussions about his backroom staff, keeping his cards close to his chest.
The Journey Home
The "Undertaker" is leaving his base in England today, Thursday, January 22. His flight is scheduled to arrive in Bulawayo tomorrow.
"It has been an eventful few days but it’s now sorted and he will soon be on his way to come and work here in Bulawayo," sources added. Bosso fans are expected to keep a keen eye on Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport.
Club Administration
Despite the confirmation of travel arrangements, Highlanders CEO Denzel Mnkandla remained professionally guarded, refusing to issue a formal confirmation until the contract is physically signed in Zimbabwe.
"The Benjani issue is an issue that the club has not spoken about or responded to, and rightly so. It will remain that way until the club and Benjani have an agreement of some sort. Nothing to comment on at this time."
This caution is standard procedure for the club, aiming to avoid preemptive announcements before the ink is dry.
