"Stop Posting Nudes": Apostle Daniels Warns Women Against Desperation for Marriage

Sona Headlines | Relationships & Faith

In a candid address that has sparked conversation, Apostle Daniels of Gateway Ministries has declared there is no shame in being single, warning women against the pressure to "showcase their bodies" to attract husbands. Speaking at the launch of Dr. Tatenda Matirongo’s book, The Waiting Wife, the Apostle advised that character, not nudity or desperation, is a woman's greatest asset.

The Trap of Appearance

Apostle Daniels highlighted a troubling trend where women aspiring for marriage feel pressured to showcase their bodies. He warned those posting themselves naked on social media that such tactics will haunt them later in marriage. "Love is a natural force, not something that can be bought or worn like clothing," he stated.

He noted that some women spend excessively on appearances, bathing multiple times a day in a bid to attract partners. However, he emphasized that while prayer is essential, "a woman’s character is her most important asset when seeking a spouse."

Wealth vs. True Love

The Apostle advised against rushing into marriage for financial security, noting that some marriages lead to quick divorces. "It’s better to be with someone you truly love, even if they lack wealth. Wealth can come later."

"Unoroorwa nemurume anemari asi yavepedo kuenda nekuda kwenzira yayakauya nayo woramba asinamari avekudakuropafadzwa naMwari." (You might marry a rich man whose wealth is fleeting due to its source, while rejecting a poor man about to be blessed by God).

The Empowered Woman Dilemma

Apostle Daniels pointed out a modern challenge: financially independent women can unintentionally intimidate potential partners. "These women may find themselves single and alone, sometimes seeking partners among older or widowed men," he said, urging hopeful brides to embrace humility and seek guidance from elders.

Evangelist Gwatidzo's Counsel

Evangelist Nelly Gwatidzo echoed the sentiments, emphasizing self-respect. "Don’t cheapen yourself... avoid immorality," she urged. She warned against substance abuse, contrasting those engaging in drugs with those writing books like Dr. Matirongo. "First, love yourself and value who you are before seeking love from others."
