Chisango had boldly pledged to host the Vice President and his wife for a meal at his expense, a promise that was unexpectedly fulfilled last Sunday. The event highlighted Colonel Chiwenga’s reputation for accessibility and her commitment to connecting with everyday Zimbabweans, further solidifying her popularity as a compassionate and relatable public figure.

A Promise Kept

Colonel Baloyi confirmed the event in a detailed Facebook post on Tuesday, 16 December 2025. Instead of going out, she revealed that she and the Vice President hosted Mr. Chisango and his wife at their residence.

True to his word, Chisango presented the budgeted funds for the Nando's meal as a gift.

The Viral Post
