Broos Warns Zimbabwe as Bafana Bafana Eye AFCON Victory!

We’re Coming for All Three Points’ – Broos Fires Warning to Zimbabwe

The Battle of the Limpopo Decider

South Africa coach Hugo Broos has officially declared war against the Warriors ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations clash on Monday. Despite a controversial 1-0 loss to 10-man Egypt in Agadir, Broos insisted that Bafana Bafana’s confidence remains intact and warned Zimbabwe that his side is coming for all three points.

Meanwhile, the Warriors played to a 1-all draw with Angola, setting the stage for a high-stakes regional derby where both teams are desperate for a win to progress.

Fuel For The Fire

Bafana Bafana lost 1–0 to 10-man Egypt after Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot. However, the match ended in controversy. In the 87th minute, South Africa protested after Yasser Ibrahim appeared to handle the ball inside the box while sliding to block Teboho Mokoena’s shot.

After a lengthy VAR review, Burundian referee Pacifique Ndabihawenimana ruled that no penalty would be awarded, leaving Broos furious but motivated.

Broos stated that the controversial decisions have only strengthened his team's resolve. "The decisions that were made here today on the pitch have motivated us 200% to win the game on Monday against Zimbabwe," he declared.

Zimbabwe's Position

The Warriors are still hunting for their first win.

ANGOLA DRAW

1-1 Stalemate

Zimbabwe played to a 1-all draw with Angola yesterday, leaving them with just one point from two games.

HISTORY MAKER?

Knockout Dream

The Warriors will be hoping to secure their first win at the ongoing tournament and make it past the Group Stage for the first time in the team’s AFCON history.

The Road to the Knockouts

South Africa: A win guarantees automatic progression. A draw leaves them vulnerable depending on other group results.

Zimbabwe: Must win. A draw or loss eliminates them from the competition. Victory gives them a fighting chance as one of the best third-placed teams.

From the Coach

"The first thing we have to do before the next one is forget about this game because it’s finished. Just because we lost today, it doesn’t mean the confidence is gone; we believe we have the quality to beat Zimbabwe."

— Hugo Broos
