Harare - In a recent development, Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo has reportedly acquired a luxurious mansion in Harare's Gletwyn suburb. 

The opulent property, previously owned by former Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Commissioner General Augustine Chihuri, is estimated to be worth US$7 million.

Shifting Ownership After Legal Battle

Chihuri had initially contested the seizure of the mansion by the state in 2020, as part of an investigation into unexplained wealth. However, Chihuri successfully challenged this seizure in court in 2022, paving the way for its recent sale.
