Zimbabwean Content Creators Tytie and Kiki Served with Summons in South Africa

Popular Zimbabwean social media influencers, Tytie and Kiki, have found themselves in legal hot water after being served with summons by a Johannesburg court.

The couple, known for their candid and often dramatic Facebook live streams, has been accused of an undisclosed offense.

A Shock Summons

The drama unfolded when the couple received an unexpected call from a Johannesburg court sheriff demanding their immediate presence in South Africa. Overwhelmed by shock and confusion, Tytie and Kiki rushed to Johannesburg to address the matter.

According to Tytie, a case has been opened against them at the Sandton Police Station, with the specific charges yet to be revealed. The couple expressed their confusion and fear, admitting their limited understanding of the legal process due to the summons being in English.

The Live Stream Fallout

At the heart of the matter appears to be a recent Facebook Live broadcast where Tytie and Kiki discussed an incident involving fellow content creators, Nyathi and Mai Nyathi. The couple had previously reported Nyathi and Mai Nyathi's Facebook page, resulting in the suspension of its monetization.

In response to this action, Nyathi and Mai Nyathi engaged the services of Zimbabwean lawyer Moreboys Munetsi. The lawyer reportedly contacted Tytie and Kiki, requesting a meeting. Subsequently, the influencers took to Facebook Live to share Munetsi's contact details, urging their followers to bombard him with calls.

This public exposure of the lawyer's personal information seems to have triggered the legal action against Tytie and Kiki. The summons demands that the couple remove the controversial Facebook Live and issue a public apology.

Legal Battle Ahead

With the full extent of the allegations against them still unclear, Tytie and Kiki face an uncertain future. The couple has indicated their intention to seek legal counsel to navigate the complex legal proceedings in South Africa.

The incident has sparked widespread interest and speculation on social media, with fans and followers expressing concern and support for the couple.

As the story unfolds, the public will be watching closely to see how this legal battle plays out.
