Police Alarmed as Zimbabwe Families Become Scenes of Deadly Violence - WHAT IS HAPPENING?
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have expressed grave concern over a sharp and tragic increase in murders, attempted murders, and suicides arising from domestic disputes. According to authorities, a significant portion of these fatal altercations are linked to allegations of infidelity.
Addressing the media, Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi highlighted several harrowing incidents that occurred over the past week, including a devastating case in Zhombe where a 23-year-old mother fatally poisoned her two young sons following a row with her husband.

Faced with a rapidly escalating crisis, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a nationwide appeal urging couples and family members to resolve their disputes through peaceful and lawful means.
"Members of the public are encouraged to seek counselling and involve trusted third parties, including traditional leaders, church leaders, and professional counsellors, when faced with marital or domestic challenges."

The police have reiterated that resorting to violence, especially resulting in the murder of innocent minors to spite a spouse, is a horrific and punishable crime that shatters entire communities.
Glen View 3 Tragedy Update
Meanwhile, a bitter row has erupted between the families of the couple found dead in their bedroom in Glen View 3 earlier this week. The deaths of Nyasha Mhungu (35) and Olga Muzhingi (30), which police confirmed were preceded by serious marital disputes over alleged infidelity, have left their relatives deeply divided.
A source close to the church noted the difficulty of conducting simultaneous services: "The relationship between the families was so tense they failed to meet at one place... He [Apostle Chikaka] is asking both families to consider the kids left behind and settle their grievances after laying the couple to rest."
The church is currently pushing for a common cemetery so the orphaned children can witness the burial of both parents together.
