The drama intensified after reports surfaced that Nollywood actress Doris Ogala attempted to take her own life, allegedly due to claims that Pastor Okafor ended their relationship—after dating since 2017—to be with another woman. The incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media and in entertainment circles.
Allegations & Heartbreak
Prior to the wedding, Doris Ogala called out the pastor on social media, expressing her heartbreak. She alleged a long-term relationship dating back to 2017.
“After everything—after promising me marriage and disgracing me like this, turning my life upside down—you want to marry? I came to present my own account because I saw the proposal video and it’s not adding up. My heart is broken... you want to leave me and marry who?” she questioned.
She further alleged that the relationship had cost her reputation and demanded a house as compensation.
The Incident
The controversy escalated when Ogala's colleague, Digidi Dunhill, shared a video on social media showing the actress being rushed to the hospital.
Dunhill stated that Ogala had stabbed herself in the hand and was bleeding heavily in an alleged suicide attempt following the news of the pastor's engagement. Despite this, she reportedly vowed to disrupt the wedding upon her recovery.
