Dancing In The Rain: Mega Doek & Slay Ends 2025 With A Bang!

Dancing In The Rain: The Mega Shutdown

Glamis Arena Hosts Historic "Mother of All Parties"

The rain came down, but the spirits went up. The Mega Doek and Slay event lived up to its billing as thousands of women defied the downpour at Glamis Arena yesterday. Headlined by Jah Prayzah, this record-breaking edition marked the "Last Dance" of 2025 in spectacular fashion.

Mega Doek and Slay Crowd

Nature vs. Nurture

Despite deteriorating weather that caused traffic chaos across Harare, the Glamis Arena—significantly larger than the traditional Alex Sports Club venue—was packed. While official figures are pending, organizers confirmed this edition "tops every event we have held before."

The Slay Code

Earthy tones dominated the day.

THE PALETTE

Brown & Champagne

Women embraced earthy browns paired with luxurious touches of champagne, off-white, and khaki.

ACCESSORIES

Doeks & Hats

Stunning headwraps (doeks) and stylish straw hats completed the looks, turning the arena into a runway.

Stage Highlights

Marking his return to the all-women parties, Baba Harare performed with his signature infectious energy—topless as usual—blending traditional and modern sounds to get the crowd moving.

Legendary talk show host Mai Chisamba made a special appearance, offering words of encouragement:

"Vakadzi ngatibatanei tiite chimwe without fighting each other but supporting one another."

"Makatikoshera Vasikana"

"The rains could not stop us... it was the therapy we needed." — Happy Fan

See you next year for more magic!
