“I Don’t Lie!” — Doris Ogala Picks Holes in Pastor Okafor’s Apology as He Kneels to Beg for Forgiveness
The saga involving Pastor Chris Okafor of Grace Nation Bible Ministry and Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has reached a fever pitch. In a dramatic Sunday service, the cleric knelt on the pulpit to apologize for "mistakes made in the past" while simultaneously accusing his detractors of peddling lies. However, Ogala has fired back, rejecting the "liar" tag and standing firm on her ₦1 Billion legal demand for breach of promise to marry.

The "I Don't Lie" Controversy
Kneeling before his congregation, Pastor Okafor sought to reset the narrative. "To the lady called Doris Ogala, mistakes have been made in the past... I am saying sorry to everyone I have offended," he declared. However, he added a caveat that sparked immediate backlash: "There are so many lies in most of the things that were said." He insisted he is imperfect but has had a "new beginning."
Reacting swiftly on social media, Doris Ogala picked holes in the cleric's statement. "Chris Okafor, I forgive you but there is a problem where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie," she posted. This follows a formal demand letter sent on December 16, 2025, through her lawyers, Synergy Law Partners, demanding ₦1 Billion as compensation for breach of promise to marry.
The Canada Daughter Scandal
Fighting a war on two fronts, Okafor projected text messages on church screens from his daughter, Chinyere (Amarachi), in Canada. He alleged she dropped out of school and, when he cut funding, resorted to blackmail. The message read: "If you do not send it [$47,800 CAD], I will go to the internet with every single thing I know."
Responding to satanic rumors of incest, Okafor swore a solemn oath: "Let God kill me... if anything of such ever happened." He claimed the incest narrative was a "well-coordinated attack" orchestrated by the devil using his daughter, who allegedly cut communication for a year before resurfacing with financial demands.
The "Wrong Foundation" Marriage
Explaining his past trauma, the Pastor revealed he married at 23 due to family pressure. He described the union as having a "wrong foundation" that collapsed when he returned home unexpectedly to find his then-wife "with another man in the house." He admitted this betrayal broke him for years, leading to the "mistakes" he is now apologizing for.
Okafor credited Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo and Bishop David Abioye for his spiritual restoration. Dispelling rumors that he "bought" their support, he revealed that Pastor Ashimolowo actually gifted him a landed property in his estate to help him settle down, encouraging his recent marriage to his new wife, Pearl.
The Ritual Allegations
Facing accusations of burying humans under his church altar, Pastor Okafor issued an open invitation to the DSS and Nigerian Police. "I will sponsor it... come and break this altar live on TV," he declared. He stated he was not even in the country when the altar was constructed, citing Dr. SJ and Engineer Owala as the builders.
