About the Film: "AISHA"
The film's star, Zambian comedian Lucky Comedy, described the movie as an effort to unify the continent through laughter. "We wanted to use comedy as a tool to tell a story of African cultural diversity," he said. "The movie features comedians from different regions, speaking their own dialects, and promotes understanding and acceptance."
"AISHA" tells the story of a young villager’s journey to the city in search of greener pastures, only to discover that the streetlights of Lusaka cast long shadows. Lucky noted, "With humour, Aisha delivers laughter and lessons, drawing from real Zambian experiences. The film uniquely blends traditional heritage with contemporary urban life.
