Lyshanda Moyas brings a unique blend of compassion and business acumen to her role. A qualified nurse, she has since transitioned into the finance and marketing industry. "I am going to use the platform to advocate for my SDG goal number 9," she emphasized, highlighting her dedication to promoting sustainable industrialization, fostering innovation, and improving critical infrastructure like roads, electricity, and water access in developing countries.
A Night of Glamour and Talent
On the night of her victory, Moyas triumphed over eight other contestants, securing a US$10,000 cash prize and a Mercedes-Benz C200. She also won the awards for Best Interview and the coveted Best Voice for Change gold medal. Onesimo Nkomo from Nkayi was named first princess, while Rumbidzai Muzopa from Honde Valley was second princess.
The event was graced by esteemed South African television icon Connie Ferguson as a guest judge, who praised the organizers and the contestants' passion and heart. The night also featured a scintillating performance by Zimdancehall artist Nutty O and was flawlessly hosted by Becky K, Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa, and Arthur Evans.
